The Référence collection is the version of our Antarès helmet in its most understated and discreet style. The outer shell is completely matte, and the details are chrome.

Composition of your riding helmet Référence

• The shell
  The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy of an impact across the surface of the helmet. When your helmet strikes an object, the shell spreads the shockwave, dissipating it. Sturdy and lightweight, it is known for its great resistance to scratches.

• The padding
  Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy from the impact by contracting. The padding thus becomes much denser. Its density varies according to the sizes of our helmets. To see the effects of an impact on the padding, check out our blog post.

• The vents
  Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors provide good air circulation. Thermal regulation is therefore improved.

• The retention system
  The harness ensures a secure fit of the helmet on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shaped attachment system has points that are further apart, reducing the rotation of the helmet. The straps are made of nylon, and the buckles are made of POM. Bonus: the Antarès harnesses are made from leather offcuts from their custom saddles. Stylish and responsible!

• The helmet pads/foams
  In contact with the rider's head, the high-quality foams allow for a perfect fit of your riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they will adapt to your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the helmet's cleanliness. Made in Italy, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified, and can be hand washed in lukewarm water.

The Antarès helmet carries the CE mark and the SEI certification.

The European standard EN1384-2017 requires the visor to flex when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visor of the Antarès helmets is therefore intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually adjusted to restore its original shape.

Helmet composition

The Antarès helmet consists of:

• A shell (available in 3 sizes S – M – L)
• A SET A of foams (which fit at the bottom and front of the helmet) included in the price of the helmet.

The "headband" pad set (set B) to adjust the shell to the head size, which determines the helmet size is not included in the price of the helmet and must be purchased separately.
These foams are placed on the sides. Set B is available in 4 thicknesses: 4 – 8 – 12, and 16 mm. The rear part of the "headband" pad is removable to provide extra space for a ponytail or for tucking hair inside the helmet.

Shell:

• The S shell fits foam sizes 53 to 56
• The M shell fits foam sizes 56 to 59
• The L shell fits foam sizes 58 to 61

Foams:

• Thickness 4: for helmets in 56S or 59M
• Thickness 8: for helmets in 55S or 58M
• Thickness 12: for helmets in 54S or 57M
• Thickness 16: for helmets in 53S or 56M

Care

The foams are washable in lukewarm water or in a washing machine at 30 degrees, they should not be tumble dried.

Warranty

You have a 5-year warranty from the date of manufacture of the helmet to request a revision of your helmet.

Note: The Antarès helmets are more rounded in shape. If you have a more oval head, we recommend opting for a size larger.
