Description +

The RFX Pro series brake pedals are designed and tested for use at the highest level.

The Pro series brake pedals are made from 7075-T6 aluminium and feature a forged OEM-type axle. The smooth finish of the axle helps reduce wear associated with a grooved design.

The Pro series flexible tips are made from CNC machined aluminium billets and have a spring-loaded pivoting tip that rotates on impact, such as in a rut, to minimise damage. The tip also features steel teeth for better grip in muddy conditions.

The Pro series flexible tips also include a stop on the pivoting tip, which limits the tip's rotation to 90 degrees, avoiding damage that can occur if the tip rotates under the clutch cover.

The brake pedals series also incorporates a cable brake snake, which helps prevent the pedal axle from bending in the event of a collision.

  • Forged axle for better core strength.
  • Smooth axle design to reduce surface wear.
  • CNC machined billet flexible tip.
  • Rotating action reduces impact damage.
  • Steel insertion teeth for better grip.
  • Mechanical stop on the tip.
  • Incorporated brake snake.
  • Anodised in colour to prevent corrosion.
  • Logo laser etched.

Installation Instructions:

  • Start by noting the height of the pedal tip relative to the footpeg.
  • Remove the R-clip or the split pin from the back of the brake bolt located behind the frame.
  • Remove the pivot bolt holding the pedal to the frame.
  • Detach the return spring from the pedal and let it hang.
  • Rotate the pedal outward to expose the split pin at the back of the pedal arm.
  • Remove this split pin and the positioning peg, and the rear brake pedal will now come off.
  • Remove the oil seals from the old pedal, clean them, and place them back on the new pedal.
  • Clean all parts with a multi-purpose lubricant like maxima MPPL, ready for reinstallation.
  • Reattach the brake arm, stop pin, and split pin.
  • Reposition the return spring.
  • Apply Maxima waterproof grease to the pivot bolt, align the pivot hole and replace the bolt.
  • Tighten the pivot bolt to the required torque as per the user manual.
  • Reattach the R-clip/split pin at the back of the pivot bolt.
  • Once the pedal is secured, adjust the pedal height to achieve the correct position and play by loosening the nut above the arm and turning the plunger bolt in or out as needed.
  • Now install the brake snake.
  • Japanese models - Remove the nut and washer from the lower engine mount, replace the old washer with the new washer attached to the brake snake.
  • KTM models - Remove the new washer attached to the brake snake, set it aside as it is not needed on the KTM, loop the cable around the lower engine mount and replace it inside the crimp fitting.
  • Adjust the correct tension on the brake snake, making sure to account for a downward extension of the pedal.
  • Crimp the fitting with pliers and cut off the excess cable.
