Rugby ball Barbarian Rugby Club

The Barbarian Rugby Club, better known as the French Barbarians, is a XV rugby team created in 1979 and based in France. It was founded as an amateur invitational team, modelled on the famous Barbarian F.C.

Since the start of the 2017-18 season, the French Barbarians have become the second official national team of the French Rugby Federation, which previously referred to either the France U20 team or the France A team as this team.

The French Barbarians play in sky blue, navy blue and royal blue hoop jerseys. As with the original Barbarians, the players keep the socks of their club fromorigine.

Jean-Claude Skrela founded the club after playing for the original Barbarians, which he loved, at the end of his career. During the amateur period, all the players chosen for the team were French or played for French clubs.
