Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for the installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials available on and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the dbkiller is not only illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle as a result of transforming it into a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair to be sent back to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
