This horseshoe is open at the heels to provide support in that area, however, it has SUFFICIENT SUPPORT AT THE HEELS TO BE ABLE TO USE SILICONE IN THE AREA WITHOUT THE NEED FOR SOLES.

It has been designed and manufactured to meet the multi-faceted work needs of farriers. It is symmetrical overall, to better fit the hooves. The nail holes are at the same distance from the outer edge; they are perforated to allow nails to be inserted into the wall at the correct angle.
