The ceramic coating from Muc-Off is a highly advanced and durable protective layer infused with silicone, which chemically bonds to the paint to create a high-performance hydrophobic layer. Usage Instructions

Surface Preparation

1. Thoroughly wash your bike with the Nano Tech Bike Cleaner, Punk Powder, or Snow Foam, then make sure it is completely dry before starting the application.
2. Depending on the paint condition, perform any necessary correction to remove defects (swirl marks, water spots, scratches). This product is very durable and will seal any existing imperfections.
3. Remove any excess paint correction or wax/polish residue by wiping all painted surfaces with the surface preparation spray. Simply spray onto a microfibre cloth and wipe.

Application of the Ceramic Coating

1. Apply the coating in a cool, dry, clean indoor area with good lighting and ventilation. For non-original finishes, test a small inconspicuous area before covering the entire surface.
2. Shake the bottle vigorously for 10 seconds to activate the formula.
3. Wear protective gloves during application.
4. Unscrew the safety cap, then apply the coating sparingly and evenly onto the supplied microfibre applicator pad. (A small amount is sufficient).
5. Start with the highest surfaces and apply in a cross-hatch pattern to cover all areas well. We recommend working in small sections the size of a bike tube or panel at a time.
6. Add coating to the pad when it is no longer applying evenly or when the pad is not sliding smoothly on the surface.
7. Allow the coating to dry for 5 minutes. The treated surface will then have a pearlescent look. Check that all areas are covered, then use a microfibre cloth to gently polish in circular motions until achieving a shiny and smooth finish. Check from different angles that the rainbow effect has disappeared.
8. After polishing, let the coating dry for 24 hours in a cool, dry area before exposing it to water or the elements. (For best results, avoid washing for at least 48 hours after application).

For added durability, you can apply a second coat following the instructions after the first coat is completely dry.

Maintenance / Cleaning

To maintain your ceramic coating, we recommend cleaning only with our Nano Tech Bike Cleaner, Punk Powder, or Snow Foam. Avoid using other solvents or acidic cleaners as they will degrade the coating more quickly. Regular maintenance helps preserve the hydrophobic properties. If the water-repellent effect diminishes, maintenance every 6 months is recommended.

On average, a bottle is enough to treat 2 complete bikes or one motorcycle.

Why wait so long after application?
The coating needs at least 24 hours to cure away from moisture to form a strong bond with the paint. It is advisable not to wash or wet it for 48 hours after application for optimal results.

Can I use the Ceramic Protection on my car?
Yes, it has been tested on several automotive finishes with excellent results. On average, 3 to 4 kits are needed to cover a car.

What is the shelf life of the Ceramic Protection?
