Petzl Repairable Descender Rig

RIG is a descender with an ergonomic handle that allows for comfortable descent control. The AUTO-LOCK system enables quick positioning and immobilization without having to manipulate the handle or perform a stop knot. Once locked, the rope can be retracted without handling the handle. Easy to use, this descender offers a simple and effective alternative to traditional descenders. It is repairable, allowing for the cam and pin to be replaced to extend its lifespan.

Versatility of use:
- two possible descent modes: on the flap or in the V-groove, equipped with brake spikes, providing better descent control and limiting rope twisting
- device usable on a harness, but also at anchor
- once the rope is locked, the user can make short ascents without manipulating the handle, simply by retracting the rope
- usable for belaying a lead climber in climbing technique

Durability and repairability:
- protective reinforcement on the rope friction zone, which protects the mobile flap from premature wear
- cam shape that improves rope pinching and thus limits wear of the device
- repairable; it is possible to replace the cam and the pin with the repair kit (sold separately, reference D021CA00)
