Football: Christmas gifts

Supporter or authentic version: choosing the right jersey

The jersey of the beloved club remains the top gift for any supporter, whether they support PSG, OM, RC Lens, the Real Madrid, the FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, or Liverpool. Each club usually updates its kits every season, featuring a home jersey, an away jersey, and often a third. The supporter version, cut more loosely in a durable fabric, is worn every day; the authentic version, identical to what the players wear, is more fitted and lighter, with heat-pressed badges. Major clubs also offer their jerseys in junior sizes.

Other sports

The Christmas selection is organised by sport:

• Running.
• Indoor, handball, basketball, volleyball.
• Outdoor.
• Winter Sports.
• Fitness and Bodybuilding.
• Bike / Moto.

The entire selection is available on the sports page.

Official badges and printing: customise a jersey

The official badge turns a jersey into matchwear. Placed on the sleeve, a badge from a league like the Premier League, or from a European competition, exactly replicates what the players wear. PSG offers a set of badges commemorating their victory in the Champions League of 2025, and the Premier League has its No Room For Racism badge against racism. World Cup badges are attached to the jerseys of national teams. Combined with a printing of a name and the number of a player, the badge makes a jersey a unique gift, which should be washed inside out and at a low temperature.

Balls, bibs, and bags: gifts for players and coaches

For those who play, a ball is always welcome. Uhlsport, a German brand founded in 1948 in Balingen, offers its balls from the training model Team to the competition ball Match, and Hummel provides the Inspire Club Lite, a lighter ball designed for young players. The size is chosen based on age: size five from around fourteen years, size four from ten to thirteen years, size three for younger ones. For the coach, bibs that are reversible PowerShot, with two colours in one, and a bag Errea for carrying equipment are helpful for every session.

Frequently asked questions

What football gift for a goalkeeper?

A pair of goalkeeper gloves is a great gift for any young keeper: choose the size based on the width of the hand and a latex palm for grip. Gloves with spines, which protect the fingers from twists, are ideal for beginners.

How to choose the size of a football jersey?

The supporter jersey fits like a classic t-shirt, while the authentic version, which is very fitted, often requires a size up for a casual fit. For a child, refer to their age or height in the size guide.

What’s the difference between a training ball and a match ball?

The training ball, more durable, withstands repeated strikes and abrasive surfaces such as synthetic fields. The match ball, softer to the touch, provides a more consistent flight path but wears out faster.

How to care for a football?

After a match in the rain, wipe it down with a cloth and warm water, then let it air dry. Before each use, check the pressure with a damp needle, without exceeding the value indicated near the valve.

What football gift for a child just starting out?

A size three or four ball suitable for their age and the jersey of their favourite team are the most appreciated gifts. A small sports bag also allows them to carry their kit and water bottle to training.
