Our Kids selection brings together children's swimwear: one-piece and two-piece swimsuits Protest for girls, Regatta Dakaria, tops Cruz, and swim shorts Protest Chopper, Regatta Skander and Jack & Jones for boys.
Swimwear for playing in the water all summer long.
A child doesn't just swim: they dive, run on the beach, dig in the sand, and spend hours in the water. Their swimsuit needs to stay in place during play, dry quickly, and withstand sand, salt, and chlorine. One-piece swimsuits, like the Protest Rainbow and Minky, cover more and don't slip during dives. Two-pieces, like the many Protest models or the Regatta Dakaria, are popular with older kids and make toilet trips easier.
Swimsuits also come in:
All swimsuits can be found on the swimsuit page.
For boys, the swim shorts, like the Protest Chopper, Regatta Skander, or Jack & Jones, are the most commonly worn at the beach. They tighten at the waist with a cord and elastic band, so they don't slip in the waves, and often have a mesh lining for support. It's best to choose them in the right size rather than too big, to ensure they stay on during play. For the pool, check the rules: many public pools require a fitted swimsuit instead of shorts.
Bright colours and prints, like those from Protest, a Dutch brand for the beach and water sports, make children easier to spot in the water. In the sun, complete the swimsuit with a t-shirt and a hat during hot hours, as children's skin is delicate. For care, rinse the swimsuit in fresh water after each swim to remove salt, sand, and chlorine, without wringing it out, then lay it flat to dry in the shade to preserve its colours and elasticity.
Good deals can also be found in the good plans, promotions, clearance, sales, Black Friday. The new arrivals showcase the latest collections, and items shipped within 24h are prepared and dispatched in 24 hours. The main events of the year follow a steady pattern: Black Friday at the end of autumn, the holiday season, winter sales, the spring French Days, then summer sales and back-to-school.
The one-piece, like the Protest Rainbow and Minky, stays in place better during dives and covers more of the back. The two-piece is more practical for using the toilet and is easier to put on for younger ones.
Stick to the size indicated in centimetres rather than the actual age. The swimsuit should be snug but not tight: a model that's too big can fill with water and slide during play.
The swim shorts, like the Protest Chopper or Regatta Skander, are suitable for the beach and lake. However, many public pools require a fitted model for hygiene reasons: check before going.
Rinse it in clear water after each swim to remove chlorine and salt, wash it by hand in cold water, and let it dry flat, in the shade. Avoid using a tumble dryer, as it can stretch the elastic fibres.
A covering swimsuit, like a one-piece, protects the back and belly, areas that burn easily. It doesn't replace sunscreen on exposed areas or a hat during hot hours.
