Description

The Direct Drive™ auto belay from Perfect Descent Climbing Systems features a sealed housing, a market-leading price, and complies with EN standards. This model is the ideal auto belay solution for applications where speed is not a factor. The Direct Drive™ is perfect for beginner routes, children's areas, and scheduled events. Equip your operation at a lower cost! A good investment: Perfect Descent is the market leader in terms of cost for auto belays and boasts the lowest average cost of ownership over the lifespan of the unit. The lightweight and compact design translates to lower shipping costs when returning units for factory-authorized service and recertification. A growing network of factory-authorized service centres makes it easy to keep your units in service and on the wall quickly and simply. Handmade, safety, and innovation: Perfect Descent auto belays are handcrafted in Colorado, USA, using high-quality stainless steel and aluminium (no plastic) and are never mass-produced. The internal components are made from high-quality materials that withstand repeated use and require little or no maintenance. All devices undergo rigorous quality control before shipping and meet global safety standards. Versatile and durable device housing: Perfect Descent units are the lightest and most compact modular auto belays on the market, a key feature for easy transport and installation. The new multipoint installation handle offers flexible mounting options and independent support points. All units are sealed for exceptional performance indoors and outdoors. Belays to love: The easily replaceable ropes take just a few minutes to change and can be done on-site by the end user. Choose the rope length that best suits your needs: 28 ft, 40 ft, or 53 ft (8.5 m, 12.2 m, or 16.1 m). The high-quality nylon strap is more user-friendly than cable-based systems and won't damage walls. The built-in wear indicator takes the guesswork out of when to replace your rope. An anodised aluminium nozzle is integrated into the rope for added durability and performance. Choose from two options for a three-stage swivelling carabiner: aluminium for corrosive environments or to reduce weight, or steel alloy for durability. Alternatively, choose the dual connection option with a swivelling carabiner, nylon Y lanyard, and two captive pin aluminium carabiners at three stages. NOTE: The user can replace long ropes with shorter ones to fit lower mounting heights. Never replace a shorter rope with a longer one, as the unit will not function correctly. Longer ropes can only be installed by C3 Manufacturing or an authorised service centre. IMPORTANT: Perfect Descent auto belays are designed as controlled descent devices used in vertical climbing activities and are not suitable for jumping-type activities that generate shock forces. Repeated impacts on the device can damage internal components and, in some cases, lead to unit failure. The rope must always be of a length equal to or greater than the intended mounting height. Units with excessive rope length may experience incorrect rope winding, potentially leading to a jerky or rapid descent. Always select the rope that best fits the mounting height and avoid using long ropes on short walls.
