I'D® S

Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for work at height and difficult access

The I'D S self-braking descender is primarily designed for work at height and difficult access. It features an ergonomic handle for comfortable descent control. The integrated anti-panic function and error-indicating trigger limit the risk of accident in the event of misuse. The AUTO-LOCK system makes it easy to position the rope at the workstation, without having to manipulate the handle or make a stop key. Once locked, the rope can be recovered without having to manipulate the handle. The locking pawl allows the rope to be installed while the device remains connected to the harness. I'D S is compatible with 10 to 11.5 mm ropes, and can handle loads of up to 250 kg.

  • Designed for work at height and difficult access.
  • Easy to use:
  • features a locking pawl on the mobile flange for easy installation of the rope. while keeping the device connected to the harness.
    - easy rope placement. thanks to guidance and indicative markings.
    - error-indicating trigger to limit the risk of accidents due to incorrect rope placement.
    - ergonomic handle to release the rope and comfortably control descent. Two possible descent modes: on the flange or in the V-shaped braking groove.
    - anti-panic function automatically stops the descent if the user pulls too hard on the handle.
    - enables smooth movement on horizontal surfaces or inclined planes.
    - AUTO-LOCK system for easy positioning at the workstation. no need to manipulate the handle or make a stop key: as soon as the user releases the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the device. The automatic return of the handle reduces the risk of unintentional snagging.
    - the handle automatically returns to the storage position when the rope is removed from the device. this reduces the risk of unintentional snagging when the descender is worn on the harness.
  • Versatile use:
  • once locked. the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. this makes it possible to make a hauling system reversible or to make short rope ascents easily.
    - cam that can be manipulated to take up slack easily or to secure a premier rope in a climbing technique.
    - screw for locking the mobile flange so that the I'D S can be integrated into rescue kits.
    - can be fitted with an additional brake. open or closed. for better control of descent according to load and rope diameter.
  • Stainless-steel reinforcement in the rope's friction zone for increased wear resistance.
  • For descending heavy loads up to 250 kg.

Rope compatibility: 10 to 11.5 mm diameter.
