The Yoko page of the Back To School selection brings together vests, tabards, and jackets from the brand that specializes in high visibility, designed to be personalised with the name of a school, club, or association. Fluorescent fabric and reflective strips, available in adult and children's sizes: perfect for overseeing a school outing, a road race, or a sports event while staying visible to everyone.
Be seen, by day and by night.
Yoko has made a name for itself with one of the widest colour palettes on the high visibility market. Only fluorescent yellow, orange, and red meet professional standards, but other shades are used for identification: one colour for each student group, another for supervisors, and a third for race volunteers. The brand's clothing is designed to allow for branding, printed or embroidered, without losing their properties. Back-to-school season, with the return of school trips and outdoor training, is a great time to replenish a school or club's stock.

A high visibility garment combines two materials with complementary roles. The fluorescent fabric converts some ultraviolet light into visible light: it stands out during the day and at dusk, even under a cloudy sky, but is ineffective in darkness. The retro-reflective strips, made of glass microbeads or micro-prisms, reflect light from headlights back to its source: the driver sees the wearer shining from a great distance. A complete vest thus combines both, and its strips wrap around the torso to be seen from the front, back, and side.
Two European standards govern these garments. The EN ISO 20471 standard pertains to professionals exposed to traffic and sets three classes based on the surface area of materials: class 3, the most demanding, requires at least 0.80 square metres of fluorescent fabric and 0.20 square metres of reflective strips. The EN 17353 standard, published in 2020, covers medium-risk situations, such as cycling, running, or supervising a group: it distinguishes equipment visible by day, night, or in both cases. For children on a school trip, a vest that meets this second standard is well-suited.
Great deals can also be found in the special offers, promotions, clearance sales, sales, and Black Friday. The new arrivals showcase the latest collections, and items shipped in 24h are prepared and sent within 24 hours. The key events of the year follow a steady order: Black Friday at the end of autumn, the year-end holidays, the winter sales, the French Days in spring, followed by the summer sales and the back-to-school period.
For marshals stationed at the side of a road, you should aim for a class 2 or 3 vest, which covers a large fluorescent area. The event regulations and instructions from authorities may require specific equipment, which should be checked before ordering.
The vest is worn over a coat: you choose it based on age and build, allowing enough room to put it on over a puffer jacket. If it’s too big, it flaps around and its strips fold; if too small, it restricts arm movement while walking.
Printing by transfer or screen printing on the back can be seen from a distance: name of the school, club, or mention Organisation. The branding should remain outside the retro-reflective strips and only cover a small portion of the fluorescent fabric.
In France, any cyclist riding outside built-up areas at night, or during the day when visibility is insufficient, must wear a high visibility vest, including passengers. In town, it is strongly recommended as soon as it gets dark.
Wash it at a low temperature, without bleach or fabric softener, and let it air dry: the heat from the tumble dryer can damage the strips. Faded fabric or tarnished strips indicate that the vest needs to be replaced, as it no longer serves its purpose.
