The Shagreen helmet is the premium version of the Premium helmet. The headband and triangle are matched in Shagreen leather. Its timeless design adds to the comfort of a breathable helmet. Meeting European and American standards, it allows the rider to ride in complete safety. The Eclipse visor adds an elegant and chic finish to the helmet. Its larger size compared to a classic visor protects you from the sun during your riding sessions in the arena or outdoors.

The Shagreen collection is the premium version of the helmets from the Premium collection, made up of a band of Shagreen leather and a matching triangle.

Personalisation of your helmet Antarès

If you wish, you can change the colours of the chin strap, headband, and triangle of this model to create a unique helmet. In its classic version, the elements are chromed. Composition of your Premium Shagreen Eclipse riding helmet The shell

The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse energy from a shock across the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell spreads the shock wave by dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its great resistance to scratches.

The inner liner

Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy emitted by the shock by contracting. The inner liner thus becomes much denser. Its density varies according to the sizes of our helmets. To see the effects of a shock on the inner liner, check our blog article.

The vents

Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors provide good air circulation. Thus, thermal regulation is improved.

The retention system

The harness ensures a good hold of the helmet on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shape of the fastening system has points that are spaced further apart, which reduces the rotation of the helmet. The straps are made of nylon and the buckles of POM.

The helmet pads

In contact with the rider's head, the high-quality foams allow for a perfect fit of your riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they will adjust to your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the helmet's cleanliness. Made in Italy, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified, and hand washable in lukewarm water.

The foams are sold with the helmet.

The Eclipse visor

The Eclipse visor is designed for a female clientele. Very trendy and elegant, it is inspired by women's hats. It protects riders from the sun while affirming their femininity. The wide visor has been designed to protect the skin from the sun and outdoor climate attacks without compromising the wide field of vision necessary for any discipline. The European standard EN1384-2023 requires the flexibility of the visor when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visor of the Antarès helmets is therefore intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually adjusted to restore its original shape.

The helmet bag is ideal for protecting and easily transporting your helmet conveniently. It is thoughtfully designed with a large central pocket and a big zipper to facilitate the storage of the helmet.

Composition of the helmet

The Antarès helmet consists of:

• a shell (available in 3 sizes S - M - L)
• a set of “head ring” pads (set B) to adjust the shell to the head circumference and that determines the size of the helmet.

Available in 4 thicknesses: 4 - 8 - 12 and 16 mm. The back part of the “head ring” pad is removable to possibly leave more space for a ponytail or to pull up hair inside the helmet.

• a set of “top-front” pads (set A) allowing for adjustment of the depth of the helmet on the top of the head and at the front of the helmet. Available in 2 thicknesses: 4 and 8 mm.

Our helmet pads are provided with the helmet, but are also sold separately.

How to choose your riding helmet size?

You can perform a few tests to check the fit of your riding helmet. The helmet size is suitable when it:

rests just above the brow line (no more than 2cm above), wraps around the head and holds without squeezing, stays in place when shaking the head without being held by the chin strap.
