The Sandals & Flip Flops page brings together sandals, mules, clogs and slides for summer, from Birkenstock, Crocs, Pikolinos, Les Tropéziennes and Victoria, for the whole family.
Models that have become classics, each with its own story and way of fitting.
The history of Birkenstock dates back to 1774, when Johann Adam Birkenstock is registered as a shoemaker in Germany. By the end of the 19th century, Konrad Birkenstock designs flexible insoles that follow the shape of the foot, and it is his grandson, Karl, who launches the Madrid in 1963, the first sandal with a single strap mounted on the anatomical sole, originally conceived as a gym sandal. The Arizona with two straps follows in 1973, and the Boston clog in 1977.
All rest on the same cork and latex sole, which moulds to the foot, and are available in synthetic Birko-Flor, leather, suede, or EVA for water. The Gizeh thong and the Mayari crossover strap sandals complete the family.
The Crocs Classic clog is made from Croslite, a lightweight and flexible resin unique to the brand, which does not absorb water and can be rinsed off. Its back strap pivots: when raised, it allows the clog to be worn like a mule, and when flipped down, it holds the heel in place. The decorated editions, such as Crocs Toy Story or Pony, cater to both children and collectors, and the holes on the upper can hold removable badges.
Pikolinos, a Spanish brand from Elche, works with soft leather and artisanal finishes, offering comfortable sandals for the city. Les Tropéziennes carry on the spirit of Saint-Tropez sandals, made of leather with fine straps, for more dressed-up summer outfits. The Victoria touch-fastening sandals, made from canvas, are suitable for children during the summer and at leisure centres.
Birkenstock comes in regular and narrow widths, indicated by the imprint on the sole, and generally runs large. The heel should rest at the back of the cup without spilling over. The visible cork on the edge is protected with a sealant when it loses its shine, suede is brushed dry, and Birko-Flor is cleaned with a sponge. The Crocs clogs can simply be rinsed under water.
The summer selection continues with sunglasses, swimsuits, t-shirts, shirts, headwear, shorts, dresses, and bags from the summer page.
The new arrivals showcase the latest releases, the promotions feature discounted items, and the 24-hour shipped items are prepared and dispatched within 24 hours. The good deals, clearance, and sales complete the offer.
