Our selection of Women's Sandals and Espadrilles brings together open shoes for the sunny days: the Birkenstock Arizona, Gizeh, Madrid, and Mayari, with their anatomical cork sole, made of Birko-Flor, suede, or EVA, and the dressier sandals from Les Tropeziennes par M.Belarbi, with thin straps. The espadrille, with its braided rope sole and canvas upper, completes this summer wardrobe.
Feet free all summer long.
The Birkenstock sandals in our selection share the same anatomical sole made from cork and latex, but each has its own way of holding the foot. The Madrid, the brand's first sandal, which appeared in 1963, features a single strap and remains the simplest design. The Arizona, developed by Karl Birkenstock and launched in 1973, adds two wide adjustable straps: it's the best-selling sandal of the brand. The Gizeh, born in 1983, was the first Birkenstock with a toe post, featuring an ergonomic bar placed between the toes, while the Mayari wraps a fine strap around the big toe before crossing over the instep.

Women's shoes also come in flip-flops and clogs, trainers, heels, flats, on the shoes page.
The Les Tropeziennes par M.Belarbi sandals continue the story of Mo Belarbi, who opened the shop La Puce Tropezienne in Saint-Tropez, the birthplace of a free, sunny, and Mediterranean style. While Birkenstock focuses on arch support, these models play it elegant: fine straps, bold colours, and decorative details that dress the bare foot. The Baden, Corabel, Hamess, and Hanak showcase this style in various finishes, from the simplest to the most ornate. They should be chosen in your exact size, as a fine strap should wrap the foot without cutting into the skin or gaping with each step, and they are best reserved for outings rather than long days of walking.
The espadrille is recognized by its woven jute rope sole which is then sewn in a spiral, often lined with a thin layer of rubber that protects the jute fibers, and by its canvas upper. Its making has been documented in the Basque Country since the 18th century, and Mauléon, in Soule, became its French capital in the following century. Flat and flexible or mounted on a wedge sole that elongates the silhouette, it keeps the foot cool thanks to its breathable fabric. The fabric stretches over time: it's better to opt for a well-fitted espadrille than a pair that's too loose that will slide off the heel.
Great deals can also be found in the good deals, promotions, clearances, sales, and Black Friday. The new arrivals present the latest collections, and items shipped in 24h are prepared and dispatched within 24 hours. The year's highlights follow a stable order: the Black Friday at the end of autumn, the end-of-year holidays, the winter sales, the French Days of spring, then the summer sales and back to school.
Birko-Flor, synthetic with a soft touch, wipes clean quickly and is suitable for everyday use. Suede, warmer, develops a patina but is sensitive to rain. EVA, molded from a single piece, lightweight and waterproof, can be worn without worry at the beach or by the pool.
Place your foot on the sole: it should rest in the centre, without the edges of the foot hanging over the cork bed. If the foot floats between the straps despite adjustment, the narrow fit will be more suitable; if it overflows, stick with the normal fit.
Yes, the cork and latex sole conforms to the foot in a few weeks of regular wear. Wear the pair for one or two hours a day at first, so that the arch support feels natural, then gradually increase the duration.
The foot should leave a small space in front of the toes and behind the heel, without touching the edge of the sole. Birkenstock is sized in European sizes: between two sizes, the larger one prevents the toes from hitting the front of the footbed.
Avoid the washing machine: water causes the jute rope to swell, which can distort and may mold while drying. Brush the canvas dry, then dab stains with a little soapy water without soaking the sole, and let dry in the open air, in the shade.
