The Olympic Games page brings together the Le Coq Sportif line designed for the French team at the Paris Games: graphic t-shirts, zip-up sweatshirts, jogging trousers, and knee-high socks, featuring the rooster and the tricolour colours. Supporter pieces designed for everyday wear, keeping the memory of the events held in the capital alive.
The memory of an Olympic summer in Paris, brought to you by the French sportswear brand.
For the Games held in Paris in 2024, Le Coq Sportif has outfitted the French Olympic and Paralympic team, providing everything from ceremony outfits to training and competition gear. The brand, founded in 1882 by Émile Camuset in Romilly-sur-Seine, Aube, put the artistic direction in the hands of Parisian designer Stéphane Ashpool. A large part of the athletes' clothing was produced in the historic factory in Romilly, and the design paid homage to the tricolour outfits of 1924, when Paris had already hosted the Games a century earlier.
The graphic t-shirt is the simplest piece in the line: made of cotton, printed with the rooster and Games motifs, it can be worn alone on warm days or under a sweatshirt when the weather cools down. The zip-up sweatshirt opens fully, allowing it to be slipped on over a t-shirt and the warmth to be adjusted throughout the day. The Essentials joggers, made of fleece, accompany travel and weekends; paired with the sweatshirt, it forms a coordinated outfit in the French colours. The high tricolour socks add the finishing touch, even down to the trainers.
Beyond this collection, the football, running, lifestyle, equestrian sections of the site bring together equipment for Olympic sports, from football to athletics and equestrianism, as well as kit for national teams. Brand enthusiasts will also find Le Coq Sportif in the lifestyle section.
The Olympic Games page fits into the operations calendar: good deals, sales, Black Friday, French Days, promotions, new arrivals, shipped in 24h, as well as Christmas, Mother's Day, private sales and Back To School.
The visuals of the rooster and the Games remain clear for a long time if a few simple steps are followed. Turn the t-shirt or sweatshirt inside out before washing, choose a 30-degree cycle and skip the fabric softener, which weakens the ink adherence. The fleece of the joggers and sweatshirt should air dry, flat or on a hanger: using a tumble dryer promotes pilling and can shrink the cotton. Any ironing should be done on the reverse side, never directly on the print. The high socks should be washed with similar colours to keep their white bright.
After Paris, the Summer Games will be held in Los Angeles in 2028, and then in Brisbane, Australia, in 2032. Los Angeles will host them for the third time, after 1932 and 1984.
They have been awarded to the French Alps. France will host the Winter Games for the fourth time, after Chamonix in 1924, Grenoble in 1968, and Albertville in 1992.
Paris has hosted the Summer Games three times, in 1900, 1924, and then in 2024. It shares this record with London, which hosted in 1908, 1948, and 2012.
The Olympic events took place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, following an opening ceremony held on the Seine, a first outside a stadium. The Paralympic Games followed, from August 28 to September 8.
Stick to your usual size for a fitted look that closes without pulling on the zipper. To layer over a thick t-shirt or prefer a looser fit, going up a size is better.
