The Leader Fit page of the Back To School selection brings together equipment from the French fitness brand: kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, and floor mats, to get a club gym, a school gym, or a home workout space back on track. Equipment designed by a brand that comes from the coaching world, made to last under heavy communal use.

Equipping a gym for the sports season.

Leader Fit, a brand born from fitness professionals

Leader Fit was established in 1999 by Didier Pescher, a former champion in aerobics, who wanted to meet the needs of professionals in sport, health, and well-being. In 2003, he created a training organisation that prepares coaches in strength, pilates, and functional training, in addition to state diplomas. The brand's equipment is designed in this spirit: for group classes that run all day, and for practitioners of all levels who need to understand the exercise at a glance. The start of the club season is the time to renew it.

Kettlebell, dumbbells, resistance bands: what each tool works on

Each Leader Fit accessory targets a specific type of work. The kettlebell, a ball with a handle, shifts the load under the hand: it is suitable for ballistic movements like the swing, which engage the hips, core, and shoulders in one motion. The dumbbells isolate a muscle group, such as biceps, triceps, or deltoids, with a stable and easily adjustable load. The resistance bands offer resistance that increases as they are stretched: they are used for warm-ups, rehabilitation, and strengthening the glutes, and can fit in a bag. The mat completes the setup for core work and abdominal exercises on the floor.

Organising a club or school's gym

For shared use, choose equipment covered in vinyl or neoprene, which protects the floor and can be disinfected quickly between groups with a wipe. We plan weight increases in regular increments, such as two kilos at a time, to suit both younger individuals and adults. A colour code by weight or tension speeds up distribution at the beginning of classes. A trolley or wall storage keeps the space clear and allows for counting the equipment at the end of the session. Resistance bands, sensitive to light and wear, should be checked regularly: even the slightest crack requires them to be removed.

Good deals

Great offers can also be found in the good deals, promotions, clearance, sales, Black Friday. The new arrivals showcase the latest collections, and items shipped in 24h are prepared and dispatched within 24 hours. Key events of the year follow a stable order: Black Friday at the end of autumn, the holiday season, winter sales, French Days in spring, followed by summer sales and the new term.

Frequently asked questions

What weight kettlebell should I choose for starting?

To learn the swing, a woman often starts with eight kilos and a man with twelve, benchmarks to adapt based on size and athletic background. Technique is key: increase the weight when the movement is smooth and free from jolts or arching.

What is a pilates reformer?

It is a machine made up of a carriage that slides on rails, pulled by springs of varying tension. You can work lying down, sitting, or kneeling against adjustable resistance: Leader Fit has made it one of its specialties for studios.

Fixed or adjustable dumbbells for a group class?

Fixed dumbbells are stored in pairs on a rack and pass from hand to hand without adjustment, making the class run smoothly. Adjustable models save space but require time to change weights, which is better suited for individual use.

How to choose the tension of a resistance band?

A light tension is suitable for shoulders, rehabilitation, and beginners, while a strong tension caters to the larger muscles of the legs and glutes. A set of multiple resistances, marked by colour, allows for progression without needing to buy new equipment.

What mat should be used for group exercises on the floor?

A dense foam of about one centimetre protects the knees, elbows, and spine during core work. For shared use, a washable mat is preferred, which can be stacked or hung, and dries quickly between sessions.
