Racket bags for Black Friday

The thermobag: protecting the strings from heat and cold

The thermobag is the bag of competitive players. Its main compartment is lined with an insulating layer that limits temperature variations: a racket left in a hot car will have its strings loosen, while a sharp cold makes them stiffer. The Head Tour, available in sizes L and XL, and the Tecnifibre Tour Endurance for six rackets follow this principle, and the Babolat Court XS, more compact, suits a player who carries few rackets. Separate pockets hold shoes, wet clothes, and accessories, so you don’t mix clean and dirty items after a match.

Other racket sports

The racket sports during the Black Friday also include:

• Tennis.
• Padel.
• Badminton.
• Table tennis.
• Shoes.
• Textiles.

All racket sports are gathered on the racket sports page.

Racket backpack: the solution for bike rides

The backpack for rackets is suitable for players who go to the club by bike, on foot, or by public transport. A dedicated compartment holds one or two rackets, while the body of the bag stores clothes, a water bottle, and balls. The Head Tour is available in a twenty-five-litre version, the Head Pro and the Yonex Gearlogic target regular players, and the adidas Multigame is suitable for both tennis and padel. Padded straps and a chest strap distribute the load across the shoulders. However, for a player heading to a tournament with multiple rackets, the thermobag remains more suitable.

Padel bags: a compartment designed for the pala

In padel, the racket, or pala, is solid, shorter, and thicker than a tennis racket: padel bags have compartments that fit its shape, often insulated as well. The adidas Control, the Head M, and the Head CCT can hold several palas, balls, and clothing. The backpack Nox from the range of Argentine player Agustín Tapia is aimed at enthusiasts who follow the professional circuit. Finally, the trolley bag adidas Padel Stage Tour rolls through the corridors of clubs and airports: real comfort for players traveling for tournaments.

Junior bags: Head Sinner Edition and Babolat Carlitos

For a child, the bag must remain lightweight, suited to their back, and easy to open independently. The backpack Head Sinner Edition, in Jannik Sinner's colours, and the Babolat Carlitos, a nod to Carlos Alcaraz, showcase two champions who inspire young players. They accommodate a junior racket, a bottle, a change of clothes, and a few balls. Babolat, born in Lyon in 1875 with the first natural gut string, and Head, founded in 1950 in the United States by engineer Howard Head, are two historical references in racket sports. Adjustable straps allow the bag to grow with the child for several years.

Frequently asked questions

How many rackets should one be able to carry?

A leisure player is content with a bag for one or two rackets. In competition, you carry at least two or three, to have replacements in case a string breaks during a match.

How to clean a bag for rackets?

Empty it completely, vacuum the sand and dust, then clean the inside with a damp sponge and mild soap. Leave it to dry open, in the air, before putting your things back in.

Can a bag for rackets be taken in the airplane cabin?

Racket backpacks generally qualify as cabin luggage, but larger thermobags often exceed the allowed dimensions. Check your airline's rules before departure.

How to avoid bad smells in your bag?

Never leave wet clothing or damp shoes in the bag after the match. Use the ventilated pocket designed for shoes and air out the bag as soon as you return.

Is a tennis bag suitable for badminton?

Yes, badminton rackets, which are thinner, fit in most tennis bags. Badminton bags, like those from Yonex, simply offer a compartment adjusted to their more slender shape.
