New Era, founded in 1920 in Buffalo, New York, has been making the official cap worn on the field by all MLB baseball league teams since 1993. The 59FIFTY, launched in 1954, has a high structured crown, a flat visor, and a fixed size with no adjustment: it's the cap of the Yankees, Padres, or Giants in Authentic On Field version. The 9FORTY, also structured, adjusts at the back with a strap and fits all heads. The 9TWENTY, soft and unstructured with a curved visor, is worn in a more casual way, like the Essential model from the Yankees.

The lifestyle clearance also includes sneakers, men, women, junior, luggage, winter, summer, on the lifestyle page.
Outside of baseball, other brands impose their style. Kangol, founded in England in 1938 and recognisable by its kangaroo logo, is famous for its flat caps; the Tropic Ventair, made of mesh, is the lightweight and airy summer version. Armedangels, a German brand created in Cologne, focuses on organic cotton and responsible manufacturing, with simple models featuring embroidered logos. Alpha Industries, founded in the USA in 1959 and known for its bomber jackets, puts military codes from its jackets onto its caps. The Nike Club cap, adjustable, remains a reliable everyday choice.
The beanie is first chosen by its material. Wool and merino, like in the cotton and merino beanie from Lyle & Scott, a Scottish knitwear brand established in 1874, keep warmth without itching. The Barts Feodore and Kinabalu beanies, from the Dutch winter accessories specialist, and the KAVU Trawler can be worn high on the head or pulled down over the ears. The fluffy beanies, like the Selfhood, with their fluffy knit, add volume and softness. The Masterdis turn-up beanie, basic and unisex, fits into a pocket. The Athlecia Kotoko, designed by a sports brand for women, is also suitable for active outings.
For children, the beanie should fully cover the ears and stay in place during play. The Reima beanies, a Finnish brand founded in 1944 and specializing in cold-weather children's clothing, are designed for long hours outdoors. The Didriksons beanies, from the Swedish brand established in 1913, include the Biggles, with ear flaps that also protect the neck from the wind, and the Aspen, a simpler option for school runs. You choose the size based on head circumference, leaving a little margin for the next winter, and prefer a knit that dries quickly after a snowball fight.
Measure the circumference of your head with a tape measure, above the ears and in the middle of the forehead, then refer to the brand's size chart. A fitted cap, with no adjustment, should fit snugly without pinching or marking the forehead.
Wash it by hand in lukewarm soapy water with a soft brush, without bending or soaking it for too long. Let it air dry, placed on a bowl or a ball to maintain its shape, never in the tumble dryer.
Wool, especially merino, keeps you warm even when wet and regulates perspiration. Acrylic, lighter and easy to wash, doesn't itch and is suitable for the city. A fleece-lined beanie adds warmth in severe cold.
The sticker on the visor indicates the size and authenticity of the cap. Many streetwear fans keep it on by tradition, while others remove it: it's a matter of style, with no impact on the cap.
Store it on a support or flat, without crushing it at the bottom of a sac, and avoid folding it to slip it into a pocket. A structured crown maintains its shape as long as it always dries in the air, never on a radiator.
