Private Sales by Brands

Private sales brands sort the offer by manufacturer: adidas for sneakers, football and urban cycling, Asics for its Gel technology trainers, Puma for football and lifestyle, Nike for everyday sneakers, Hummel and Kempa for handball and club clothing. A convenient entry point when you already know a brand's fit or the model you're looking for.

For those who already know which brand they want.

adidas and Puma, two brands born from the same family

The two brands come from Herzogenaurach, in Bavaria. Brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassler made sports shoes together before parting ways: Rudolf founded Puma in 1948, and Adolf registered the name adidas in 1949, combining his nickname Adi and his name. At adidas, the Velosamba adapts the Samba, originally for football, to urban cycling, with a rigid sole compatible with two-point cleats. The spikeless golf shoes and Purechill recovery shoes showcase the range of the catalogue. Puma, for its part, has been associated with football since its beginnings, from the studs of the fifties to today's city sneakers.

By brand

Private sales are organised by brand:

  • adidas, sneakers, jerseys, and apparel.
  • Asics, running and Gel sneakers.
  • Puma, football, running, and lifestyle.
  • Hummel, teamwear and handball.
  • Kempa, handball.

Asics and Nike: Gel cushioning versus basketball classics

Asics was born in Kobe in 1949 under the name Onitsuka; its current name, adopted in 1977, reflects the Latin saying Anima sana in corpore sano. Its signature is the Gel, a silicone-based cushioning embedded in the sole: the Gel-NYC mixes elements from archival running models into a city sneaker, and the Gel-Quantum Lyte, in children's size, shows a large block of Gel at the heel. Nike, on the other hand, features the Court Vision, inspired by 1980s basketball shoes and partly made with recycled materials in its Next Nature version, and the Initiator, which replicates the look of early 2000s running shoes.

The other private sales

Private sales are also divided by category: football, lifestyle, basketball, handball and volleyball, racket sports, combat sports, on the private sales page.

Hummel and Kempa, handball specialists

Hummel, founded in Hamburg in 1923 and now Danish, is recognised by its chevrons on the sleeves and sides; it outfits many handball and football clubs. Its Core XK line includes jerseys, polyester shorts, and semi-zipped or hooded tracksuits, coordinated to equip an entire team, and the Classic Energizer ball is used during training sessions. Kempa carries the name of Bernhard Kempa, a German player who gave his name to the kempa, the move where a teammate receives the ball suspended above the area to shoot before landing; the Spectrum Synergy Plus and the Leo are among its balls.

Frequently asked questions

Do Asics shoes run small?

Most Asics models fit true to size, with a forefoot sometimes closer to the foot on models derived from running. Compare the length of your foot in centimetres to the brand's size guide, and choose a wide version if it exists for wider feet.

What’s the difference between adidas and adidas Originals?

adidas Originals includes lifestyle-inspired models, often from the archives like the Samba or Gazelle, under the trefoil logo. The performance range, marked by three mountain-shaped stripes, includes technical equipment for football, running, or golf.

What is the purpose of a recovery shoe?

A recovery shoe, like the adidas Purechill, is worn after exercise: thick, flexible sole, washable material, easy slip-on fit. It relieves the feet after a match or run, without being used for the activity itself.

Why buy by brand online?

Each brand builds its shoes on its own lasts: when one model fits you, another pair from the same brand is likely to suit you as well. It’s the safest way to order without trying on, while keeping your usual size.

Are spikeless golf shoes effective?

A spikeless golf shoe grips the grass thanks to numerous small studs moulded into the sole. It is suitable for most courses in dry weather and can also be worn in the clubhouse; on soggy ground, removable spikes grip better.
