Alien X Blue The Alien X is the sixth generation of the micro cam, with the first version approved in 1986 in Colorado (USA). It incorporates all the advantages of the original design while offering enhanced finishes and performance. Available in six sizes, the new Alien X has the following improvements: Cam heads with X-grip coating: Better grip of the cam heads from the first uses. Three multifunction sizes: The three large models (3/4 yellow, 7/8 grey, and 1 red) allow for the use of a passive stopper. More ergonomic and resized trigger bar: The trigger bar has been redesigned to make it easier to handle the micro cam Alien X and to improve speed during placement or retrieval. The Alien X is also more practical to use when wearing gloves and is longer, as 3 mm have been added between the trigger bar and the cam heads. Robust and compact overall structure: The metal rivets and the piece connecting them give the micro cam a uniform appearance thanks to a more compact design. FAITHFUL TO ITS ORIGINS The Alien X integrates the strengths of its uniquely original design while staying true to the first patented system: Lightness and reduced volume: The weight of the harness is lighter, and the whole is less bulky. Flexibility: Allows movement of the rope to be absorbed and prevents the movement of the cam heads once in place. Geometric shape of the cam heads retained. Colour coding for size identification: This colour coding has been the reference for climbing topos for the past 30 years. Measurements: Opening range from 10.8 mm (0.44 in) to 16.1 mm (0.63 in). All Alien X devices are handmade in Barcelona.
