Alien X RedThe Alien X is the sixth generation of the micro cam, with its first version approved in 1986 in Colorado (USA). It combines the strengths of the original design while providing improved finishes and performance. Offered in six sizes, the new Alien X has the following enhancements:Cam heads with X-grip coating: Better grip of the cam heads from the first uses.Three multifunction sizes: The three large models (3/4 yellow, 7/8 grey, and 1 red) allow the use of a passive stopper.More ergonomic and resized trigger bar: The trigger bar has been redesigned to make handling the Alien X micro cam easier and quicker, whether placing or retrieving it. The Alien X is also more convenient to use while wearing gloves and has been lengthened by 3 mm between the trigger bar and the cam heads.Overall robust and compact structure: The metal rivets and the part connecting them give the micro cam a uniform appearance thanks to a more compact design.FAITHFUL TO ITS ORIGINSThe Alien X incorporates the strengths of its original unique design while remaining true to the first patented system:Lightweight and reduced volume: The weight of the harness is lighter and the whole is less bulky.Flexibility: Allows for absorption of rope movements and prevents the cam heads from moving once in place.Geometric shape of the cam heads maintained.Colour code for size identification: This colour code has been the reference for climbing topos for the last 30 years.Measures: Opening range from 20.3 mm (0.80 in) to 33.4 mm (1.31 in).All Alien X devices are handmade in Barcelona.
