Alien X Yellow The Alien X is the sixth generation of the micro cam, with the first version certified in 1986 in Colorado (USA). It retains the benefits of the original design while providing enhanced finishes and performance. Offered in six sizes, the new Alien X features the following improvements: Cam heads with X-grip coating: Better grip on cam heads from the first uses. Three multifunction sizes: The three larger models (3/4 yellow, 7/8 grey and 1 red) allow for the use of a passive stopper. More ergonomic and resized trigger bar: The trigger bar has been redesigned to make handling the micro cam Alien X easier and faster, whether during placement or retrieval. The Alien X is also easier to use while wearing gloves and longer since 3 mm have been added between the trigger bar and the cam heads. Robust and compact overall structure: The metal rivets and the piece connecting them give the micro cam a cohesive look thanks to a more compact design. TRUE TO ITS ORIGINS The Alien X incorporates the unique benefits of the original design while staying true to the first patented system: Lightness and reduced volume: The weight of the harness is lighter and the whole is less bulky. Flexibility: Absorbs the movements of the rope and prevents the cam heads from moving once in place. Retained geometric shape of the cam heads. Colour coding for size identification: This colour code has been the standard in climbing topos for the last 30 years. Measurements: Opening range of 16.1 mm (0.63 in) to 25.7 mm (1.01 in). All Alien X devices are handmade in Barcelona.
